MySpace – yOurSpace – ourSpace (2008 - ongoing)

A participatory project where people are given the opportunity to create a RealSpace (NOT trademarked) as opposed to a MySpace, literally cutting and pasting their way into a network of real users. This project was commissioned by Futuresonic08 for its Social Networking Unplugged theme and the Nuffield Lancaster.

the institute of lost memories and small moments (2007 - present)

Originally created as part of Ersatzverkehr/Urban Lies' Sphären Versammlung. We set ourselves the task of creating a memory palace with the help of participants who work with a fund of small objects to create prompts for their own memories and small moments.

Premiered in room 107 of the Parkhotel in Krems at the Donau Festival.

call out wittenberge (2008)

As you walk through Wittenberge, you see hides (Hochsitze) growing incongruously out of the pavement, offering new views on the town. Once inside, the visitor not only sees the town from a unique perspective, but a collection of signs that inform, annotate or comment on the locations they are in.

my home is my castle (2006)

Masquerading as a polite English family, we strike out into the villages and towns of Styria in Austria in a castle-shaped caravan. Luring people with the offer of tea and biscuits, we discussed the social role of teatime and what constitutes a personal 'kingdom' in rural Austria.

The Schwedt project parts I-IV (2006)

The Schwedt Projekt was a means of researching how to experience, investigate, preserve and remember Wohnkomplex 7, an area of Schwedt in Germany. With the wilderness encroaching we want to know what will remain when the buildings and people have disappeared? What memories linger in the half-empty landscape? What can we learn from this place for the future?

A week-long series of workshops, culminating in a performance as part of the Rollende Road Schau. With a 1:100 scale plan of the wasteland in Wedding, Berlin, we asked people to make what they'd like to have there.
